After watching a news segment about another student’s favorite teacher, Young Libby Wilson realized she could do the same thing! She wrote a sweet letter about her favorites teacher, Joan Connelly. Libby wrote a beautiful letter and included a special biblical reference by saying, “Mrs. Connelly is all of the Fruits of the Spirit.” She promptly mailed the letter to WTOC. Having taught for 26 years and 17 of those years are here at Savannah Christian Prep, Mrs. Joan Connelly is truly an experienced teacher in our Lower School. After being presented with a gorgeous plaque recognizing her for her exceptional service, Mrs. Connelly humbly replied that hearing this sweet child’s voice filled with love and appreciation, she knew she was in the right place. “Savannah Christian Prep feels like home. Knowing that the children feel that way about me….it’s very touching.”
