Meet the Development Team

Mrs. Wendi Ferrell, a native of Georgia, returned home after living in several states across the country. She is a mother of triplets who also have the pleasure of calling SCPS home. Wendi graduated from Marshall University with a BA in Psychology and is finishing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with plans of completing her Doctorate in Counselor Education. Wendi has worked for several non-profits in development, including United Way, where she served as the Executive Director. Her interest in and dedicated study of philanthropic psychology and her experience in planning and organizing fundraising events have been a hallmark of her career. Wendi’s love of people, experience in data management, and specialized training in communicating with donors have led her here to help serve our SCPS community. As the Director of Development, Wendi will oversee all aspects of fundraising and donor relations, and with a deep commitment to Christ and Christian education, Wendi brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to this critical role for our community. Wendi is incredibly honored to journey with SCPS towards achieving its philanthropic goals. She looks forward to helping steward the school’s giving in a way that aligns with the mission of “Developing the whole person to the glory of God.”
