Athletic Involvement at SCPS:

  • Football, basketball, and track
  • Personal bests of 10.61 and 22.15 seconds in the 100 and 200m dash
  • State runner-up in the 100m as a junior
  • Junior year (state championship): SMN all greater Savannah Team
    • Led the team with 16 touchdowns.
    • Rushed for 685 yards and 8 touchdowns on just 52 carries (13.2 ypc). 
  • First-team All-Region 3-A (East) running back
  • Region 3-A (East) Athlete of the Year
  • Two-time All-Savannah Morning News selection
  • Named top player from SCPS (from SMN) in the 21st century
  • 2011 GHSA Class A championship
  • Played college ball at Minnesota, earning All-Big 10 honors
  • Picked by Jacksonville in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft
  • Later had stints on the rosters of the Vikings and Falcons
  • Now coaching at Winona State in Minnesota.

  • Played at Minnesota from 2013 to 2016.
    • 93 tackles, 5 interceptions, and 2 touchdowns
    • Started all 13 games for the Gophers, with 41 tackles and 11 pass breakups
  • Set a Big 10 NFL combine record in the 40-yard dash, running a 4.28 time in Indianapolis in 2017, which was the fastest time among the defensive backs at the 2017 NFL Combine
  • Drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft as the 222nd pick overall.
  • Signed by the Minnesota Vikings in 2018 and later by the Atlanta Falcons in 2019
  • Drafted into the XFL in 2020 by the DC Defenders.
