Drama Students Attend Workshop in Atlanta

This past weekend, Ms. Donna Stembridge took a group of Upper School students to Atlanta to attend the workshop — Broadway Connection’s Broadway Technique in the style of The Little Mermaid with the Broadway National Touring Cast.  The workshop was taught by the cast members of The Little Mermaid.  In addition, the group attended a performance of The Little Mermaid.

 

Coach Carl Carter Admitted to Hall of Fame

Coach Carl Carter was admitted into the “Georgia Dugout Club’s” Hall of Fame this past weekend.  The “Georgia Dugout Club” is an organization focused on baseball at the high school and collegiate levels around the state of Georgia.  Coach Carter has been an active member and participant throughout his career at SCPS.  To date, Coach Carter has 521 wins as Savannah Christian’s Baseball Coach.  Congratulations Coach!

 

Math Team Sign-Up

Any 9th-12th grade students interested in competing on the Math Team at the Georgia Southern University Math Competition, please sign up with your math teacher this week. The competition will be Saturday, February 25th. Please check your family calendar to ensure you are available that day prior to signing up. Deadline for signing up is Friday, January 20th.

Awakening Club Kickoff

Want to grow deeper in your relationship with Christ? All 9th-12th grade students are invited to join us for our Awakening Club kickoff Friday, January 20th during lunch in Mrs. Wetmore’s room.

Summit Conference

Summit is a  two-week Student Conference  designed to help students (ages 16-22) strengthen their faith, understand their world, and be prepared to make a difference with their lives. Top Christian leaders and thinkers will train students in the classroom while the phenomenal staff team will walk alongside and personally mentor each student.

You can attend a Summit Student Conference Tennessee! If you are interested talk to Miss Brown in room 29.
