Christ in Action
- In the wake of Hurricane Matthew, many of our young Raiders embraced the opportunity to minister to those in need and to show appreciation for others. It’s a GREAT day to be a Raider!
- The Barnabas Characteristic for October is Faithful. Romans 12:12 says, “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” The definition of Faithful is trustworthy and loyal. We show faithfulness by keeping our promises, trusting in God, telling the truth, telling others about Jesus, and being a friend even when we disagree. Stop by Mrs. Burnsed’s door to learn more.
What’s Coming Soon?
- A “Breakfast Book Club” will be starting on October 19th (Wednesday) and will meet monthly. Students in grades three through five are welcome to join and discuss books they have been reading. More information and the registration form can be found on the After School Activities website at www.scpsasap.weebly.com. The club is sponsored by Mrs. Olson (third grade), Mrs. Crosby (Media), and Mrs. Dugas (parent).
- Come join Snapology for Lego® Pokemania. Students will build and explore the world of Pokemon as they create their own characters, gyms, battles, and even their very own generation of Pokemon using Lego® bricks. Children will also learn about real world science as they learn about the habitats of the Pokemon. Your child will have a blast becoming the best Pokemon trainer ever. Did you Know?
- If you would like your child to have a school picture retake, please have your student bring the picture preview sheet with them to the retake on October 21st. LifeTouch will scan the preview sheet and retake the photograph. The “retake” picture will be the one put in the yearbook.
