Hundreds of SCPS Lower School students helped bring Georgia history to life on Friday, February 31th.  Dressed as colonists, pilgrims, native Americans, pioneers, and explorers, students paraded across the school grounds and gathered around the flagpole to raise the American and Christian flags and recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the Amierican flag, the Christian flag, and the Bible.

Proud parents, siblings, grandparents, and other family and friends lined the street for the parade and gathered around the classes for the opening ceremony.  Students will enjoy additional Georgia Day activities throughout the day that teachers and volunteers have been planning for weeks and months.
