We had the pleasure of hosting our annual Veterans Day Honor Chapel on Friday, November 8 to thank and honor all US Veterans. We would like to thank everyone who joined us and give special thanks to our guest speaker, Lieutenant Colonel Sean P. McGee.
About LTC Sean McGee: He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1999 and was then commissioned into the Infantry. He has participated in more than 20 combat deployments spread across Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan and his awards include seven Bronze Star Medals and five Meritorious Service Medals. His decorations include the Ranger Tab, Combat Infantryman Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge, and the Military Free-Fall Parachutist Badge. He is married to the former Melissa Scearce of Danville, Virginia. They have three children, Mackenzie (a sophomore at SCPS), Colton (a 5th grader at SCPS), and Emmalynn who is 2 years old.
