Welcome, Nurse Julie Murphy!
This week, Julie Murphy, a registered nurse, joined our staff to serve our students and teachers. She will be available to all divisions of our school, while her clinic and office are located in Building 7, home to Grades 1, 2 and 3. Mrs. Murphy comes to us with the highest credentials. She is a licensed, registered nurse with eleven years of experience in Georgia and South Carolina. As a graduate of Liberty University, a Christian college in Virginia, Mrs. Murphy is experienced in combining her strong faith in Jesus with her desire to confidently care for her young patients. She is married to Dr. Murphy, and the two of them are the parents of lower school students, Ava and Andrew. We are delighted that our children will have the benefit of a registered nurse throughout the school day. She will be in touch with our parents should a student need her assistance. Mrs. Sellers’ second-grade class has already had Mrs. Murphy join their class. She talked about good and bad bacteria, hand washing, and how to protect others when we cough and sneeze. Our students and teachers are so thankful to have such a loving, caring school nurse.
