In a letter to the entire school community, Dr. Chris Harmon, Headmaster, announced that the search for a new Lower School Principal had been successfully concluded.  After a nationwide search and interviewing four outstanding candidates on campus, Becky Knight has accepted the invitation to join Savannah Christian Preparatory School.

Becky Knight currently serves as the Assistant Lower School Principal at Charlotte Christian School. Ms. Knight has experience as a teacher, curriculum coordinator, and assistant principal. She is a former Teacher of the Year in Charlotte, NC and has been a teacher trainer in math education.
A graduate of Elon University, where she was an Honors Fellow, Ms. Knight earned her Master’s degree at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte in Curriculum and Instruction. Ms. Knight is completing her Doctorate of Education at Gardner-Webb, where she is a member of the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society. Ms. Knight’s dissertation is titled Leadership Style of Private Christian School Leaders and the Impact on Student Achievement.
While Ms. Knight is eminently qualified academically, the professional views of her talents are most impressive. Her current headmaster concurs when he said: “Becky will make a phenomenal principal.” Parents and staff that had a chance to interview Ms. Knight shared:
  • “Authentic, confident, energetic, and knowledgeable”
  • “Willing to think outside the box when it comes to education”
  • “Belief in doing what’s best for the student”
  • “Passionate, tenacious, and research oriented”

Ms. Knight attends Elevation Church where she also is a small group leader and a team leader in the Ekidz program. In college Ms. Knight was involved in Campus Outreach where she attended summer beach project for 3 summers. Ms. Knight has also traveled on mission teams to South Africa to launch Campus Outreach South Africa. She has also served as the women’s student coordinator to lead the summer project.

Ms. Knight will be visiting our campus throughout the next couple of months as she works with Dr. Palmer and her staff on the transfer of leadership.
