Lowering of the American and Christian flag is a symbolic way to signify the end of the day.  On Friday, June 30, 2017, the flags at the DeRenne Avenue Campus were lowered and retired by Boy Scout Troop 11.  The symbolic ceremony was a time to glorify God for the thousands of lives touched by the powerful, teachable moments for well over 30 years.  As a gift to St. John Baptist Church and St. John Academy, SCPS gifted new American and Christian flags to fly over the campus.  Also, a presentation Bible and large, decorative flags for the school’s chapel programs were gifted to the school and church in hopes that it will bear witness to thousands of more lives that will come to know Christ because of the good works yet to come.   The transfer of ownership would not be complete without a set of keys and that is exactly what Dr. Chris Harmon presented to the church’s leader, Dr. George P. Lee III.  Today, Savannah Christian Preparatory School is officially one campus, under God!  May He continue to bless St. John Baptist Church and Academy as well as the students, teachers, and staff of SCPS!  To God be the glory!
